The water is where my best ideas show up.
In the pool or in the ocean, swimming is my way to relax, disconnect and connect with myself again.
Why swimming
My work lives on screens: ad accounts, dashboards, scripts, video edits. Swimming is the opposite. No phone, no notifications, no noise. Just water and breathing.
First it relaxes me. Then, with a clear head, I start thinking about the business, calmly and without pressure. That’s when the answers show up.
What I think about in the water
Everything, really. What to do next and, just as important, what not to do. Which partnerships make sense. New video ads. New creative angles. General ideas for where the business should go. A lot of what ends up running in my campaigns started as a thought in the pool or the ocean.
Freedom, in practice
This is also what freedom means to me. I still work hard, but on my own terms. If I need a swim in the middle of the day, I go. No boss to ask, no calendar to fight. Building that kind of life is the reason I got into this business in the first place.
How a swim turns into a campaign
Switch off
The first laps are just for me. Breathing, rhythm, letting the day go.
Think clearly
With a quiet head, the real questions come up: what’s working, what isn’t, what’s next.
Bring it back
Partnerships, video ads and creative ideas that I take straight back to the desk.
